FAQ’S – DuGyte Pedalboard Systems

  • What is the DuGyte ?
  • The DuGyte is the first purpose-built pedalboard connection systems that provides all the elements (Signal & Power) you need to operate your pedalboard using a “single all-in-one cable.” The DuGyte is offered in two product series – the GP Series and the MX Series
  • What is the difference between the two series?
  • The GP Series is suited to players who use traditional stomp box type effects pedals that require isolated DC power. The MX Series is more suited to players who use AC powered multi effects systems like the Helix, Fractal and Kempler to name a few or who already have an existing AC powered isolated DC power supply!
  • What components make up a DuGyte system?
  • GP Series contains three main components:

  • The Pedalboard Junction box – to connect all power and signal at the pedalboard,
  • The All-In-One Cable loom – connects from the Junction box to your backstage amp and power and
  • The AC/DC power supply to power your pedalboard effects.
  • MX Series contains two main components:

  • The Pedalboard Junction box – to connect all power and signal at the pedalboard,
  • The All-In-One Cable Loom – connects from the Junction box to your backstage amp and power and
  • With the two PowerCon cables for AC mains power input and output.
  • Why do I need a DuGyte?
  • Here are just some of the more compelling reasons
    1. The DuGyte eliminates the spaghetti of wires and cables down to one!
    2. Supplies all the power for your pedalboard, – no more wall warts, power strips or cables
    3. Completely silent operation – no more hum, buzz or unwanted noise
    4. Less equipment to lug to each gig.
5.Amazingly fast set up and tear down.
  • Will the DuGyte affect my sound?
  • The DuGyte has been designed to deliver optimum sound quality and performance. The DuGyte will perform exactly the same as if you just plugged your guitar directly into your amplifier. If you experience any noise or hum through your DuGyte it is highly recommended that you check your patch leads and other cables. We are confident it won’t be the DuGyte. (See our video here for our sound test)
  • What power options does the DuGyte offer?
  • Depending upon the model, the DuGyte MX Series offers AC mains power, 100-240 50/60Hz and the GP Series offers several different DC power output options as shown in the following table. All DC power is ground isolated for noise free performance.
  • Model Outputs Outputs by Voltage Level* Current

Note:>*12/18VDC power output sockets are individually switch-selectable.

  • How many effects pedals can I power off the DuGyte?
  • That’s a good question! The GP Series offers up to 6 amps of isolated DC power at the pedalboard. Each output can provide 1 amp of power. In tests we have performed it has easily power over 30 effects pedals of various brands. As a true indication of the power capabilities a GP unit will power a Line 6 HX Stomp and a handful of effects pedals with ease.
